Recorded: 29 March 2009
Instruments: 4 synths, drums
Comments: This recording is result of listening to, (informally) analysing, and recreating Aphex Twin’s Vordhosbn (Drukqs). Lots of attention was paid to non-Deviate-related timbral features. Thus far, Aphex Twin seems much more difficult to recreate than Autechre, due to the dynamic changes required throughout. Conversely, Autechre is structurally more complex but dynamically static.

this, at no point and in no way, sounds anything like vordhosbn. the notes nor the beat. where was the recreation at?

I appreciate that it doesn’t sound exactly like vordhosbn, but it’s not intended to be an exact duplicate of the note/beat sequencing.

Instead, I tried to reproduce more general factors; such as the always-changing drum pattern and instrumentation.

It is (loosely) based on the feel/sound of the first part of the track.
